About
Hotel Indigo Barcelona Plaza Espana brings a designer edge to a busy Gran Via address. The rooms are quiet and bright, decked out with soundproofing, coffee machines, and the kind of touches that make a city break run smoothly. The building itself is modern, with a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a lobby bar that opens onto the street.
Location is the real draw. Placa d'Espanya is a five-minute walk away, the metro and airport bus stop right outside, and the Fira Barcelona Montjuic is close by for event-goers. Guests consistently single out the generous breakfast buffet and the helpful, efficient staff.

8.8Verified guest“A stylish and relaxing hotel in a nice building, ideal for spending New Year in Barcelona. The staff were helpful and efficient, and the breakfast was marvellous for vegetarians. The location is magnificent, about a mile from the Botanical Garden, and the property is in the central zone.”
8.8Verified guest“A great and lovely position in Barcelona.”
8.8Verified guest“The property is fairly clean with a nice design, and the bagged breakfast was marvellous. The rooms were quiet and bright, and the staff were unobtrusive and prompt, both at reception and during breakfast.”
8.8Verified guest“The bed was very comfortable, with a huge double and three pillows each. The room was silent even facing the street, so we slept well after arriving at 22:00. The breakfast had everything — natural juices, pastries, fruit, sausage, smoked salmon, hot dishes. We also appreciated the water bottles in the fridge, and being able to leave the car in the car park after checkout while we went to the Manga fair.”
8.8Verified guest“The hotel is very nice, with super friendly staff, and spotlessly clean rooms and facilities. We had the Express breakfast in the cafeteria for 4 euros (coffee, juice, and double toast with bread and tomato), which was very good. The location is spectacular, right next to Plaza de Espana and Fira Barcelona Montjuic. Parking is accessible even for large vehicles, and the shopping centre in the plaza has great restaurants and rooftop views. We will be back.”
